Arrest and Release
In May 2019, Zlatan, along with Naira Marley and a few others, was arrested by the EFCC in connection with an alleged case of internet fraud and money laundering. After a few days, he was released on administrative bail.

In October 2020, amid the EndSARS protest, Zlatan released “Soro Soke” as an expression of his concern over the tragic incident at the Lekki toll gate, where innocent youths were reportedly massacred.
